Role Summary:
A Nursery Associate plays a pivotal role in boosting sales by authentically connecting with customers over shared interests in home décor and gardening. Goes above and beyond to create authentic, lasting connections with customers through personalized attention; proactively promotes Black Shed's distinctive events.
Provides comprehensive product insights, highlights new arrivals, and discusses current trends to educate customers and ignite their creativity in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Ensures a seamless shopping journey by adeptly utilizing systems and applications, enhancing efficiency in customer interactions.
Teamwork + Communication…
Enhances the store environment through a positive, respectful, and supportive attitude towards colleagues and customers alike.
Engages actively in meetings and projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of home and garden aesthetics that aligns with the Black Shed brand.
Shows initiative and collaborates effectively with the team to accomplish shared goals in a productive manner.
Visual + Business Operations…
Maintains visual and operational excellence with a customer-centric approach; collaborates with team members from various departments to uphold product standards and create inspiring displays.
Assists the leadership team in receiving and arranging new products; provides support to customers in-store, for curbside pickup, and with local delivery.
Ensures adherence to store safety standards, maintains inventory accuracy, minimizes product loss, and upholds all company policies and procedures to enhance the store's profitability.
Role Qualifications:
Customer service experience
Knowledge of horticulture
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Familiarity with home décor trends and gardening basics
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
